MIDTOWN MEMORIES is a repository of stolen glances and stillborn fantasy. In the space between pornographic excess and unrequited kink, an incidental lyricism emerges from the frontlines of desire.
The personals are like jury duty: a collision of the disparate casts and castoffs of society thrown into a (chat)room together and tasked with rendering a verdict- on each other. The high rolling business mogul wades into the digital underworld for the first time and facelessly covets the broke cashier with a Ph.D in sociology. It's a match.
I've assembled a collection of Craigslist personals- mostly from the "Missed Connections" section- and paired them with my own photographs. Enjoy.
